Tallahassee, FL – Javacya Arts Conservatory Elite Orchestra & the Leander A. Kirksey Youth
Orchestra are pleased to present an unforgettable concert season at St. Peter’s Anglican Church,

Season Highlights
Javacya founder and Conductor Patrice Floyd and Senior Conductor Ralph Jean-Paul have prepared
a “Season of Inspiration and Vigor” of favorite orchestral, quartet, quintet, and choral works.
Selections include Gloria by Randol Alan Bass with the renowned Boys’ Choir of Tallahassee and an
array of favorite choral and orchestral works with the St. Peter’s Anglican Choir. A special piece for
the season is George Gershwin’s I Got Rhythm Variations for Piano and Orchestra featuring Polish piano
virtuoso, Joanna Sobkowska-Parsons. The classic Concerto for Two Violins (often called the Bach
Double) will feature tubist/conductor Ralph Jean-Paul and violinist Kalon Williams, concertmaster of
the Javacya Elite Chamber Orchestra. Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (all movements) by Mozart is also a
featured work for the 2019-20 season. 10-year-old violinist Phillip Bond will perform Vivaldi’s
Concerto in A minor. Other pieces are Summerland arranged for quintet (flute, harp, violin, viola, and
cello) by William Grant Still, and Battlefield, written by Floyd’s son, Ashanti Floyd, better known as
“The Mad Violinist” and will feature him on violin. Rounding off the season is a concert which will
showcase gospel music and the Orchestra with acclaimed Jamaican singer, Glacia Robinson-Ally, an
internationally respected vocal giant.

Patrice Floyd (founder of Javacya, conductor, violinist, and founding teacher for the Royal
Conservatory of Music of Canada) has opened music conservatories in South Carolina, Georgia, and
Florida. Javacya’s mission includes preparing students and orchestra members alike to be
comfortable and well-prepared for all future platforms. “Javacya has mentored hundreds of children
and many fine students have entered the professional world of music,” said Floyd. “Our students
and orchestra members are always striving for excellence.”
