Samantha Crawford

Samantha Crawford continues to perform locally as a violin soloist in advancing her musical interests alongside her graduate studies.  In addition to pursuing a master’s degree in Literature, Media, and Culture at Florida State University, Samantha performs at local and civic events in North Florida and South Georgia, most recently at the Abolitionist Emancipation Ball and the NAACP’s Black History Month Celebration.  Additionally, when available, she serves as instructor and volunteer for students presently attending Javacya Arts Conservatory and a mentor-coach for members of Javacya Elite Chamber Orchestra.

A Sphinx Performance Academy alumnus, 2016 MPower Artist Grant recipient, and 2017 Leon County Best and Brightest Award-winner, Samantha graduated summa cum laude from Florida State with a bachelor’s degree in English and music minor. She is also a proud member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
